Ah. Great question. I am, in general, opposed to keeping a diary-type blog filled with all my feelings and thoughts and gobbily-goop, posted for all the world to see. That’s just strange. This is more of a travel-journal-type blog. It may contain thoughts, but mostly it’s just to keep people informed of my day-to-day activities: which, being ‘glassblowing in Africa’ type day-to-day activities, may be of interest to people.
I also see a blog as a great alternative to mass emails - which I probably despise even more than touchy-feely-diary blogs. So, if you are just somewhat interested in my day-to-day activities, you can check in every now-and-then, as opposed to me force-feeding you emails. You can still email me at [mattlag at gmail dot com], such that you may obtain emails from me of the non-mass kind. Kitengela is a self-sustaining compound, so internet is via a cellular dial-up connection. Very slow, but it works.
